Many elected officials are questioning what is causing the sudden wave of Islamic terror in the hope of defining the cause, which they hope will lead to a solution. Israeli radio and TV have hosted many experts, each opining what brings 13-year-old children to carry a knife and try to murder another amid the awareness he may be killed in the act. Some attribute it to despair, and the lack of hope for a better tomorrow. Other boldly blame the “occupation” and Israel’s continue presence in Yehuda and Shomron, and many believe it is the lack of a “diplomatic process” between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority). And these are just some of the reasons given.

MK (Likud) David Amsellem however presents another theory, citing the cause of the baseless hate of PA children towards their neighbors, a hate taught in school, schools funded by the Israel Ministry of Education.

Amsellem explains the public schools in eastern Jerusalem are absurdly state-funded, and this money is used to indoctrinate children to hate Israelis, a hate that is inculcated from a young impressionable age.

Amsellem, who chairs the Knesset Internal Affairs Committee, calls on Education Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Naftali Bennett to address the alarming reality in which the State of Israel pay to teach young Arab students about the “Zionist occupation of Palestine” and the need to protect al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli conquest.

Amsellem adds that teachers in these schools have recently called for days off in memory of shahids, the heinous terrorists who commit the barbaric acts of terror, all under the auspices of the Israel Ministry of Education. Amsellem adds the dropout rate in these schools are among the highest in the country, about 15%. He adds the matter of truancy in eastern Jerusalem schools is rarely if ever addressed and this situation leads to boredom and acts of violence involving the dropouts.
