U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is condemning recent attacks against Israeli civilians.
Kerry says the violence and incitement to violence in the region has to stop.
He called the situation too volatile and stressed the importance for all people in the area to avoid what he called provocative statements that can inflame tensions further.
Kerry said he spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend to stress his concerns. He said he urged both sides to work to restore calm.
Netanyahu said Tuesday he would take a series of “aggressive steps” to halt a wave of violence in Israeli cities after two attacks in Jerusalem left three Israelis dead.
Three Palestinians, including two attackers, also were killed.

“Three Palestinians, including two attackers, also were killed.” This is the epitome of slanted, pro-Palestinian reporting. We must stay aware of how the media tries to influence public opinion, and make the truth known!
