The head of the Shomron Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, who continues to man a protest tent opposite the Prime Minister’s Residence, filed a complaint with police after receiving a death threat via social media.

A number of posts found their way to Dagan’s Facebook page, Arabs calling to harm him and his family. Threats included “I swear to Ala that you and your state will be gone as Ala promises, Palestine will be redeemed. Palestine is ours”.

In light of the threats, security is being stepped up around Dagan in Jerusalem and appropriate security officials in the Shomron Regional Council were also briefed by police.
