08:54: Emergency agencies are responding to a reported terror attack at the Lion’s Gate entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City. More to follow.
08:55: Preliminary reports from the scene speak of a stabbing attack and that the terrorist has been neutralized.
08:59: Gunfire heard at the scene of the attack. It appears the terrorist was shot. It is unknown if the terrorist is wounded or dead. There is no word regarding the condition of a stabbing victim.
09:00: Channel 2 News reports there are no injuries. The terrorist at Lion’s Gate tried to stab a policeman and he was shot before he could do so.
09:04: The terrorist jumped on one of the policeman at the Lion’s Gate and attempted to stab him but his flak jacket prevented the knife from penetrating. That policeman or another fired at the terrorist. There are no injuries to police.
09:07: A police spokesman now reporting a civilian was injured by the attacker. The condition of the victim is being determined.
09:13: Now reporting the terrorist B”H did not manage to stab anyone. No innocent persons are wounded in this attack. The terrorist was shot dead.

It seems as though the rules of engagement are now shoot to kill. At long last the Israeli Government has woken up to reality.
