Minister Bennett Takes a Great Deal of Credit

benSpeaking with Channel 2 TV News on motzei Shabbos the eve of 28 Tishrei, Bayit Yehudi Minister Naftali Bennett explained he and colleague Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked submitted many suggestions pertaining to the security crisis. “They accepted 70% and we are fighting about the other 30%” he explained.

Bennett was asked to cite examples of some of their ideas towards restoring law and order – to bring an end to the spreading Islamic violence. He stated that now the homes of terrorists are being destroyed and this was his idea.

Channel 2:

But the policy of destroying homes was done in the past as well, well before you entered politics.

Bennett:

This is not so. This is my idea.

Channel 2:

This is definitely so and everyone knows homes of terrorists were destroyed in the past.

Bennett:

I am sorry this is not true.

Channel 2:

Will you continue to publically criticize the cabinet despite the warning from PM Netanyahu that he will oust you from the cabinet?

Bennett:

Ayelet and I have a responsibility to our voters and we will continue being true to this responsibility and do what needs to be done.

In response to Bennett’s interview, Likud party ministers told Channel 2 that Bennett is claiming credit but it is undeserved, rejecting his statements regarding original ideas during the security crisis.

  1. These two aelf-aggrandizing knuckleheads will continue to play patty-cake while the country burns!
If they really caref they would deal with the new wave of terrorism that is taking the lives of אחינו בני ישראל and terrorizing our women and children. Kids are afraid to go about their business and mothers are afraid whether or not their children have arrived safely at school.
Deal with it “NOW!” Assuage their fears!
    1) Kill the terrorists!
    2) Throw their bodies into the sea!
    3) And finally, destroy their houses!
And please stop the stupidity. Yidisher lives are too important.
