Two chareidim in their 60s were wounded in a stabbing attack at about 10:20 Shabbos morning at 112 HaNevi’im Street near the Davidka in central Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom spokesman Zaki Heller reported that there were two victims, a 62-year-old male with injuries to his upper body listed in moderate condition and a 65-year-old victim with light injuries to his face and hands.

The two were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, both conscious and stable.

The attacker tried to run but was shot dead by policy arriving on the scene.

  1. When will the Haredi world wake up from their dream of coexistence with Arabs? The Arabs make no distinction between Zionist or non-Zionist Jews. Plenty of Haredim have been singled out by Arab terrorists in recent times, including the recent attacks, the Har Nof massacre, etc. All attacks were celebrated by the Arab masses with candies and celebrations. None said “but these are our non-Zionist buddies who deplore Temple Mount visits.”

  2. Again- PLEASE change this! Nowhere does it report that it was near Davidka in any of the Hebrew news sites. Nor on the radio. This is wrong, and it would be terrible to scare everyone to think that this was right in the center of town when it was really at the other end of Haneviim by Kvish 1 near Shaar Shchem!

  3. I dont mind if this doesn’t get posted. I dont want to start any “hock”…

Please stop reporting things like this (be”h there shouldn’t be any more news like this) as “chareidi” or “frum”, because quite frankly it makes absolutely no difference. We are all Yehudim. Remember, the arabs ym”sh don’t differentiate.
We all hope and pray for the safety of the entire klal yisroel wherever in the world they (we) are.

  4. #1 In the past, sometimes this was true and sometimes it was wrong.

e.g. Nasser in the beginning of May ’67 promised to protect Mea She’arim

Amongst the radicalized younger sector of arabs presently it’s becoming very true

  5. wow . we cant imagine what it is to walk in the streets and some lunatic pulls out a knife to stab someone . this is crazy

what in the world are you blabbering about????? when and where did you see chareidim talk about coexisting with arabs… as a matter of fact chareidim believe and know that eisav sonei lyaakov…. there is no geula until moshiach comes and there will never be peace with arabs….

  7. #2 youre a hundred percent right. This was nowhere near davidka… it was in the shimon hatzadik area as far as I heard… but even if it was near shar shchem ; certainly not in the davidka area.

  8. The one who “shot” the pictures should have shot a gun instead I guess the photographer thinks jewish blood is cheap he should go down with the terrorist

  9. #1, the Haredi world is not of the opinion that we can co-exist with Arabs. There are a few nut cases like Nuturo Karta that tries to be friends with the Arabs, but most Haredim realize that the Arabs are not our friends and our best bet is the Zionists.

  10. #1 REM30 – I think you are a bit confused. Except for a tiny group of radicals called Neturei Karta, no one has in the Haredi world is of such a ridiculous opinion.

  11. After Eight

The ‘center of town’ Davidka is not more than 1 mile away from Shaar Shchem. Mere minutes for a terrorist to travel.
So I’m not sure why you feel it’s that much safer.

  12. #12– It’s not that I feel “much safer” but it makes a BIG difference when the Arab got as far as across the street from his home of E. Jerusalem or if he was able to walk freely a long mile down a W. Jerusalem street with nobody noticing that he looked suspicious or “dazed” as I saw reported somewhere. So far B”H none of the attacks were in the center of town. They were all a couple meters at most from E. Jerusalem, if not in E. Jerusalem itself. Obviously this is yad H-m, but derech hateva if they have to get past that many more citizens or cops on high alert it will be much more difficult for them to perpetrate an attack. So I DO feel safer inside my own neighborhood, B”H. Out on the streets, I am definitely more aware of who is around me, though.

  13. Not just neturei karta. They are the only ones who actually hug terrorists, but briskers who I’ve spoken to and ‘chalmers’ and probably many who believe the 3 shevuos apply believe the same.

#3 you are one hundred percent right but possibly one reason to print it may be to make those who say “hashem is punishing chilonim, we don’t need to worry,” also wake up.

    Is that so?

Amongst the radicalized younger sector of arabs presently it may be true

But in the past, many arabs did wish for a modus vivendi with Haredim

Both sides were always undercut by the Zionists, mostly undercover [including those.. who claim to push for “peace”]

    especially since
the Arab countries have said of all the reasons for their opposition to the Zionists , the single most serious one is the degenerate morality that the secular State regularly flaunts and foists on their region.
