A Monsey resident whose cell phone was stolen from their car on West Central Avenue over Yom Tov decided to call the phone today, and surprisingly, someone answered.

Money was offered to have the phone returned, and the individual agreed to meet.

The victim immediately contacted Rockland Chaverim who in turn contacted Ramapo Police and arranged to meet with the person at Hatzlacha Grocery in Spring Valley. Ramapo Police & Detectives were hidden in unmarked vehicles, and as soon the suspect approached the victim, he was quickly apprehended by authorities and taken into custody.
