After a meeting with Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan and treasury officials it has been decided that Israel Police personnel stationed in areas of eastern Jerusalem will receive an additional NIS 10,000 annually for the high-risk assignment. There will also be a bonus for policepersons stationed in other areas of Jerusalem for prolonged periods of time. The amount of time is not specified in the media release.

Erdan praises the mesirus nefesh of police personnel, acknowledging the difficulty of their task during these turbulent days as well as the constant dangers that are part of their daily routine.
