Following the fatal stabbing/shooting attack on Chaggai Street in Jerusalem’s Old City on motzei Shabbos, terrorists continue striking out in Yerushalayim and elsewhere.
Shortly after 4:00 AM on Sunday morning, Hoshana Raba, a 15-year-old teenager was stabbed and moderately wounded by an Arab terrorist on HaNevi’im Street at the intersection of Cheil HaHandasa Street. The terrorist was shot dead by police.
The victim was transported to the trauma unit of Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the capital where he was reported in moderate condition upon his arrival. His condition is reported to continue to be moderate/stable according to hospital officials on Sunday morning.
Another youth was stabbed and moderately wounded in Independence Park during the predawn hours. That incident is under investigation. The motive for this attack appears uncertain at present.
Rock-throwing attacks against civilians and security personnel continue in the capital and throughout Yehuda and Shomron. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who was in New York City to attend the UN General Assembly, has returned home and began immediately addressing the situation and consulting with appropriate officials regarding the wave of terror attacks.
