An estimated 20,000 visitors arrived in Gush Etzion on Tuesday, the first day of chol hamoed Sukkos to take advantage of the natural sites as well as facilities suitable for children and adults. Among the visitors was Absorption Minister Ze’ev Elkin, who took part in a simchas beis hashoeva in Givat Ohz while Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel took advantage of the sound and light show in Kibbutz Kfar Etzion. He explained that every time he watches the presentation, which documents the history of Gush Etzion, he cries.

Are IDF Division Commander Brigadier-General Lior Karmeli took advantage of the yomtov to visit communities to better acquaint himself with the area. The division commander was escorted by the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council Davidi Perl.
