Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita has established a Beit Hora’ah which includes both chareidi and dati leumi rabbonim to address halachic questions from residents of the capital. It will be headed by Rabbi Bentzion HaKohen Kook, a talmid of Rav Elyashiv ZT”L.
The Beit Hora’ah was established in response to the large volume of questions the rav received ahead of Yom Kippur and Sukkos. The rabbonim shlita will address questions in Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
During the kenos marking the establishment of the body, Rav Stern explained the tzibur in Jerusalem is thirsty for information. “Today there is a broad tzibur looking for answers and has no one to turn to or cannot find an available rabbi. We are here to give people instant answers, particularly during the yomtov season during where there are many questions. Torah and halacha do not differentiate between chareidi, dati leumi and secular, as is the case in this Beit Hora’ah that includes everyone together to bring Dvar Hashem and an explanation of Dvar Hashem to the people” Rav Stern stated.
Among the rabbonim shlita serving on this new body are Dayan Rav Yair Ben-Menachem, Rabi Mordechai Halprin, Rabbi Oriel Rotenberg, Rabbi Yaakov Aaron Skotzelas, Rabbi Shalom Klein, Rabbi Yitzchak Dor and Rabbi David Shalem.
Anyone wishing to contact the rabbonim may phone 072-213-3466.
