Just this week Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu received a security briefing while touring a number of areas that have become terror hot spots. This includes the Jerusalem-Modi’in Highway, Route 443. The prime minister made promises once again, telling Israelis the situation is intolerable and he will modify operating orders to bring an end to the daily frequent rock-throwing and firebomb attacks.
Today, Thursday, 4 Tishrei, there have already been three rock-throwing attacks reported on Highway 443. B’chasdei Hashem no one was killed or injured. There were two attacks in the past hour and one earlier. The IDF is operating in the area.
Earlier this week, on Rosh Hashanah, Alexander Levlovitz HY”D was killed in a rock-throwing attack in the Armon HaNatziv neighborhood in the southeastern capital. Levlovitz had a heart attack and lost control of his car, smashing into an electric pole.
