As violence plagued eastern areas of Yerushalayim on erev Yomtov and during Rosh Hashanah, police arrested a Jewish male in the Beit Orot area for responding to an attack with fireworks by Arabs. The man taken into custody used a public address system to respond verbally to the attackers and for this he was taken into custody. These shouts over the PA system was more than police could tolerate and they moved in and arrested the Jewish man.

Honenu attorney Rechavia Filch responded to the police station in the hope of having the suspect released.
