New York Mayor Bill de Blasio says he’s impressed “more and more” with what Hillary Rodham Clinton is saying on the campaign trail.
He made the comments Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when asked why he hasn’t endorsed the Democratic presidential candidate.
The mayor was Clinton’s campaign manager during her successful 2000 run for U.S. Senate in New York.
De Blasio said Clinton is doing a great job providing a compelling vision on the issue of income inequality. But he said “there are still a few areas” he wants to know more about.
De Blasio said she’s “arguably, the most qualified person to ever run for the office of president.”
The mayor appeared on the show with his wife, Chirlane McCray. They talked about homelessness, crime and other issues.
