Police say a suspect has been shot and wounded by an officer in Brooklyn.
The shooting happened at around 1 a.m. Friday on Madison Street in the Bushwick section.
The suspect suffered a wound to his leg and police say a gun was recovered.
Police in an unmarked vehicle responded after receiving a call of a 52-year-old man shot in the arm at that location.
They encountered the suspect a few blocks away where police say he turned and shot at the officers, striking their car.
During an ensuing foot pursuit, police say an officer shot and hit the suspect in the calf.
He was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Charges were pending.
The victim who was shot in the arm was listed in stable condition.
