The case brought to the High Court of Justice by attorney Yoav Lalum was heard by the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning 4 Elul. The court made an exception by hearing the case during summer recess.
One of the people to address the court was Moshe Stein, the director of the Ladaas Chacham seminary in Elad, who shared Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman’s Shlita words with the court. Stein told the court the gadol hador instructed him to have regional registration for the school in the future, to permit all girls from the neighborhood to attend. He explained that prior to appearing in court he conferred with Rav Shteinman who explained to him the reality in Elad today compels the school remaining open for all the girls for a limited number of years.
