A Tennessee man who police say illegally climbed the Brooklyn Bridge and took a selfie while perched on a railing has been arrested.
WRCB-TV reports that 21-year-old David Karnauch of Chattanooga was arrested Sunday by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant from the New York Police Department. The charge is reckless endangerment, and he is being held in Tennessee without bond as a fugitive from New York.
The selfie from the July incident made national headlines. New York Police say Karnauch acted in an “irresponsible” and “illegal” manner.
Karnauch told CBS New York that nobody tried to stop him from climbing the bridge and that he didn’t know it was forbidden.

Exactly. Its the lazy cops who should be arrested. Where were they? Why aren’t they being penalized? Our tax money goes to pay a cop to sit in his car at the entrance of the Brooklyn bound on the Manhattan side. Besides, there or many police scooters that go back and forth on the walk/bike path, right in the middle. Lets say it was a terrorist who climbed up there. Why are the cops never censored?
Hey maybe you thinking im crazy.. but hey maybe he takah didnt know it was illegal!
At least he took a selfie!!!!!!
