It is reported that President Reuven Rivlin on Sunday, 2 Rosh Chodesh Elul, will visit the Dibros Moshe Talmid Torah in Har Nof on opening day of the school year in the chareidi tzibur. The president was scheduled to visit the Mishkenos Yaakov Talmid Torah in the Ramot neighborhood of the capital, but was asked not to come as the school objects to his presence.
State Comptroller Yosef Shapira expressed harsh criticism of the directors of the Ramot talmid torah for canceling the presidential visit. He called it “A blow to the state and its top symbol which is tantamount to harming the state itself and we must repel any such attempts”.
