The Kosel Heritage Foundation operates a lost and found to assist the many visitors to the Kosel. Many objects are lost by visitors, including cellular telephones, tefilin, eyeglasses, wallets and pocketbooks, and other personal objects. Due to the volume of lost items, the foundation set up the lost & found, and it may be contacted by calling 02-627-9246. Items are returned to persons after ownership is established by simanim.

The phones are manned during the morning hours, and one may leave a message during the afternoon/evening hours.

Officials involved in the project explain the lost & found is operated in line with directives from Kosel Rav Shmuel Rabinowitz, who addresses all halachic matters surrounding lost objects after consulting with Rabbi Avigdor Nebenzahl Shlita.
