Following a Channel 10 News report that he is planning his return to the political arena, former Likud Minister Gideon Saar denied the accuracy of the report.

Saar stated that he never announced that he is returning to politics now as Channel 10 stated was the case.

In a similar matter, former ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) director Yuval Diskin announced that he too has decided not to enter politics in the near future. Using Facebook, Diskin brought an end to speculation that he was planning to enter the political arena soon.

Diskin retired as head of the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) in 2011 after a six-year term.
