Another Violent Chareidi Protest in Yerushalayim – Firefighters Attacked

Hafganah-16Chareidim on Sunday night 24 Menachem Av protested at Kikar Shabbos in Yerushalayim for a second consecutive night in protest of the arrest of a talmid yeshiva from Meah Shearim by IDF authorities last week. Once again participants in the protest blocked vehicular traffic, set garbage bins ablaze and pelted police with rocks and bottles. They also attacked fire trucks responding to extinguish the burning garbage bins. Another violent protest was held on Shivtei Yisrael Street.

The talmid taken into custody by military police refuses to be inducted into the military. He was placed in IDF Prison 6.

The attack against firemen was sharply condemned on Monday by Economy Minister Aryeh Deri. Deri decried anyone “lifting a hand to those involved in avodas kodesh, risking their lives to save others”. Deri calls on Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan to bring the attackers to justice and deal with them in the harshest manner permitted under the law.

Despicable behavior. I guess protesting and “bital Torah” go together. Tell them to go to Ferguson, MO or Baltimore. They’ll feel right at home. Shanda.

  2. It is unwise of the IDF to attempt to draft anti-zionists. the more force the IDF uses, the more they will force the anti-zionists to retaliate. It seems that at time the zionist parties are trying to help Eidis hareidis and Neturei Karta to grow in stature and influence.

Given that frum zionists have recently taken to stabbing secular girls in the back and burning Arab babies, they shold be content to leave the anti-zionist hareidim alone. Israel can survive having frum Jews whose desire is autonomy and self-segregation.

AGREED, fire & rescue groups should leave these groups alone & let them burn, endure breathing problems & backed up traffic so no medical squads can get through the streets.

Schlisel was charedi – not tzioynish – stop trying to blaim all of our problems on some other faction. This isn’t the IDFs fault that firefighters were atacked, maybe they were wrong for drafting and jailing a Bochur having shaychis to the eidah, but what these protestors did was their own fault and no one else’s!!!!

  5. akuperma: Your statement is an example of despicable Loshon Horoh.

Second paragraph first: There is absolutely no proof that any Jew was responsible for the arson death and the stabbing was committed by an individual with serious mental problems and has nothing to do with Frum Zionists.

Those sick degenerates in Meah Shearim do not get drafted. No one wants them. It’s just excuse to vent since they need to burn excess energy have have no other outlet.

The whole issue with the Frum girl in Elad had to do with her not registering at all, which is a clear violation of the law that everyone must adhere to. That doesn’t mean getting drafted. It’s an initial stage where she could get a deferment on religious grounds, choose Sheirut Leumi or go to the IDF. It’s her choice.

I agree with zionflag, let their community burn . There is no hakoras hatov for people that save their lives, so let them deal with their own needs. Why risk lives for them only to be attacked by them?

    Well said.

Yasher Koach for fearlessly writing the truth in the face on the expected onslaught of the liberals angered at the facts you bring to light.
