Several dozen people took part in a motzei Shabbos parshas Eikev protest at Kikar Shabbos in Yerushalayim during which garbage bins were set ablaze. The protest followed the arrest of a Meah Shearim resident by IDF police last week as the young man is AWOL (Absent without Official Leave) from IDF service.

Pashkavilim were released last week following the young man’s arrest. He is now in IDF Prison 6. Additional protests are expected for as long as the young man remains in custody.
