400 cyclists from across the United States and Canada crossed the “world’s greatest finish line” on August 6, 2015 after a 180-mile, two-day bike ride to raise money for a camp for sick children. Bike4Chai, which is the highest per-capita fund raising cycling event in the United States, raised an incredible $5.7 million for Camp Simcha, an overnight summer camp for children with cancer, chronic conditions, genetic illnesses and disabilities, and the organization that runs it, Chai Lifeline, which is an international children’s health support network that provides programs and services that enable sick children and their families to cope with the emotional, social, and financial impact of serious pediatric illness.

May I suggest that the admirable efforts by the persons involved in the bike-a-thon, give all the money to Dr. Irving Weissman of Stanford University. His research in cancer is well known. One problem is he needs government support to keep the research going which entails needless paperwork, justifications and bureaucrat waste–detracting from the much, much needed actual work.
B’vah’chah’shah use the internet for subjects such as : CD-47, Dr. Irving Weissman, Dr. Aaron Ring, etc. The reader will get the gist of my suggestion.
PS: B’vah’chah’shah, may I sugest all Jews to do more Talmud Torah.
A goy, Gerry Mullen
YASHER KOACH to every one who rode and everyone who sponsored!!!
My son and son-in-law rode l’iluey nishmas my son, Yossi Chaim (a’h) Paley, who was a past camper at Camp Simcha. If you THANKFULLY have never been involved with Chai Lifeline or Camp Simcha, you can not understand how wonderful they are. My son said that the summer he spent there was the happiest time he ever had. They literally create a heaven here on earth for those campers. You can’t even imagine. It goes beyond Camp Simcha. Chai Lifeline holds your hand through diagnoses, and unfortunately for us, through his passing and beyond. They are the pillar of strength to help get through the most difficult time.
If you haven’t yet given, please, please, please give to them. They are so worthy, although I always joke, may the immediately be put out of business by the coming of Moshiach!
I can’t say enough good things about them! ~ Leah
