A major training exercise simulating a biological warfare attack was held in Ziff Hospital in Tzfas on Thursday, 21 Menachem Av. The exercise took place from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM involving physicians, nurses and other hospital personnel, the IDF, MDA and local health officials.

A large presence of IDF and civilian emergency vehicles was seen during the day the training exercise took place in areas of the hospital as well as outside and in the parking area. The hospital did not cancel outpatient clinics however there may have been some delays during the course of the day.

The hospital did request from local residents to only come to Ziff during the day in cases of emergency.
