According to attorneys affiliated with Honenu, Meir Ettinger, who was taken into administrative detention earlier this week, is being beaten and abused by ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) interrogators. Honenu reports “The ISA is using illegal interrogation methods against him”.
Ettinger is being held in an ISA facility in Kishon and according to Honenu attorney Yuval Singer, he is being subjected to harsh interrogation methods and violence was used against him.
Ettinger was arrested by an administration detention order which was signed by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon after the Security Cabinet earlier in the week decided to use administrative detention to neutralize threats in dealing with Jewish terrorism.
In an interview with Ynet, Ettinger this week explained his plan, to perpetrate attacks against Arabs towards inflaming the situation in the hope of leading to anarchy and the fall of the government. Ettinger believes that Israel must be run in accordance with halacha and this means the government must be overthrown.

So he has already confessed to high treason – and he’s complaining about treatment? He’s in a country with minimal civil rights (no habeas corpus, no trial by jury, none of the basic due process rights, no indpendent judiciary). He should be happy the Israelis never learned about the quaint obsolete Britsh custom of traitors bein ‘drawn and quartered.’

When did Ettinger “interview” with YNet? He’s been incarcerated all week.

Meir Kahana had a view point that irratated the Israeli government since it ran against America and European outlook. It was practical and as each day passes makes more sense.
His grandson is being treated in a manner that no lefty liberal would allow without going to the supreme court.
