HaGaon HaRav Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach collapsed as a result of life-threatening cardiac incident while in Meron. He was transported to chopper to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv and taken immediately into surgery. Rav Chaim Yehuda is also a grandson of HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ZT”L.

Rav Auerbach collapsed while engrossed in tefilla, treated on the scene and then transported to Ziff Hospital in Tzfas and then medevac’d to the Tel Aviv hospital. His condition is listed as very serious as doctors are battling to save his life during an open heart surgery procedure.
