Authorities say five people have been wounded in a shooting in Brooklyn, and one of has suffered serious injuries.
Fire Department officials say ambulances responded to reports of gunshot victims at an address in the borough’s Red Hook neighborhood shortly before 11 p.m. Monday.
Police say it appeared three of the victims are women and two are men. A spokesman said one person’s injuries were serious. The other conditions weren’t immediately known.
The officials say four of the victims were taken by ambulance to Lutheran Medical Center and one to New York Methodist Hospital.
Two people were killed and 11 others were wounded in three separate New York City shootings over the weekend. In one incident, nine people were injured after gunfire erupted during a backyard party.
