The heatwave that began at the end of last week is not showing signs of letting up. The sweltering temperatures are expected to continue today, Monday, 18 Menachem Av.

In the capital, temperatures will climb to 96 F, but with the heat index it will actually feel like 109 F. Adding to the unique weather of recent days, thunder storms are expected in certain areas of the country, including the Golan Heights and the Jordan. According to the Accuweather forecast, this includes Yerushalayim, citing there is a 40% chance of a thunder storm during the afternoon hours.
