Police came under attack with stones on Har Habayis on Sunday morning 17 Menachem Av. There were no reports of injuries. The attackers locked themselves in al-Aqsa Mosque.
Police separated between the attackers and visitors to the holy site.
It is added that Gedolei Yisrael throughout the generations have ruled one may not visit Har Habayis. This is the ruling of Gedolei Yisrael today as well, in addition to being the position of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

The story is talking about security forces. I believe that all rabbis agree that they are permitted in The Mount. I’m not sure why you need to add the “disclaimer” at the end. (Which is also not 100% accurate)
