Thunderstorms are expected to punctuate the hazy, hot and humid conditions that continue to blanket New Jersey.
An excessive heat warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.
Forecasters say the heat and humidity will combine to make it feel like it is 100 degrees.
Some thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected to cool things down a bit. They could also cause flooding in poor drainage areas.
The National Weather Service says temperatures are likely to remain in the 90s for the rest of the week, however it is expected to be less humid on Friday.
There is a moderate risk for dangerous rip currents along the Jersey shore.
