The Jerusalem Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 12 Menachem Av, ruled the young Jewish male who was arrested earlier in the day for shouting “Mohammad is a pig” on Har Habayis will be distanced from the holy site for a period of 45 days. The investigation against the youth continues but he was released on NIS 5,000 bail. The court ruled that shouting such statements is an affront to the religious sensitivities of Muslims and endangers the welfare of the public.
The youth reportedly fled after shouting but police were able to apprehend him.
Earlier in the month police arrested a Jewish woman and her daughter who accompanied her for shouting the same thing. In that case the court released the woman following an urgent petition from Honenu, which was able to present a video documenting the woman’s words were simply a reaction of anti-Jewish shouts directed against her by Arabs on Har Habayis.

Did he apologize for his offensive rant?
What would happen if a Muslim shouted “Jews are pigs”? Would he be arrested because that is ‘an affront to the religious sensitivities’ of Jews?
Please stop insulting pigs.
yelling “kill the Jews” however is not much of an offense, it seems…
