The Ministry of Health on Tuesday, 12 Menachem Av, released a heat-wave alert with a special warning for residents with chronic respiratory and pulmonary illnesses as well as cardiac patients as the heat stress during the heat wave will be dangerously high. The alert begins on Thursday, 14 Menachem Av (30 July) to 20 Menachem Av (5 August). According to the alert, based on the weather forecast, temperatures are expected to be unseasonably high during these days in all areas of the country.

Ministry officials urge persons at risk to avoid being outdoors as much as possible, to avoid physical activity that is not necessary, to drink copious amounts of water, and to remain in an air conditioned environment as much as possible.
