The multi-day Jerusalem disaster preparedness drill continued on Tuesday, 5 Menachem Av. Among the scenarios being drilled is a simulated missile attack striking a residential building. The drill will continue on Wednesday, 6 Menachem Av, and a siren will be heard in Jerusalem at 10:05 in the morning.

Ichud Hatzalah volunteers from Givat Ze’ev, headed by Aron Pomb, took part in extricating victims from the rubble and treating them, working side-by-side with IDF Homefront personnel.

Ichud Hatzalah Safety & Security Coordinator Shmulik Avraham said “I would like to thank those who gave of their time to participate in the drill which was coordinated by the community security officer and Ichud volunteer, Eyal Beck. There is no doubt these training exercises assist in raising the level of proficiency of volunteers responding to real situations”.
