Minister of Sport & Culture (Likud) Miri Regev has given her approval for NIS 650,000 for summer sporting activities in Elad. The request for the summer camp budget was made by Elad Mayor Yisrael Porush. Porush detailed how and why the chareidi tzibur is entitled to a portion of the national budget being allocated for summer programs around Israel.

The money was allocated for the end of August/beginning of Elul but Porush succeeded in moving up the clock to permit funding bein hazmanim activities for the community’s children.

Elad City Hall plans to publish its schedule of bein hazmanim activities in the very near future.
