The terrorist responsible for the March 6, 2015 vehicular terror attack in Yerushalayim, Mahmud Salimah, a resident of Yerushalayim, was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment. The attack occurred at about 08:00 when the attacker rammed pedestrians near the Shimon HaTzaddik light rail station.

He struck a female border policeman. He continued and struck others. He then got out of the vehicle with an axe and started running towards the border police base nearby. Border policemen and light rail security fired at the attacker, wounding him.

Four border policewomen were injured, two seriously.
