Senior Yahadut Hatorah party officials have sent a threatening message to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that a cut in any funding appearing in coalition agreements will not be tolerated.
The officials reportedly told Mr. Netanyahu “don’t test us”, making it clear they expect to see every shekel in funding promised in coalition agreements. The message was prompted by fears Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon is planning a significant budget cut that will impact yeshiva funding.
The message sent by Yahadut Hatorah is a clear one, that anything less than what is promised in the coalition agreement will result in the risk of the coalition falling. The machlokes surrounds NIS 3 billion in funding which is allocated for yeshivos, monthly child allowance payments and cutting value added tax on basic items.
On Thursday 23 Tammuz MK Yaakov Litzman during an address at a Hamodia kenos sent a message to the prime minister stating “We will not permit changing anything in the coalition agreement. We will stand firm on the issue of monthly child allowance payments and budgets for yeshivos. Don’t test us”.

Big talkers!
U don’t really expect a politician to keep his word
They are looking out for Toldos Aron!
To close the budget gap don’t pay cops, judges, persecutors, public defenders, and the like. They’re only useless window dressing. From time to time throw them a bone. If they protest, let them burn a few garbage cans. If they become annoying the army can be called out, carrying long rifles. After this happens a dozen times, they’ll cheerfully accept whatever they get.
