Missionary material enclosed in a cover that appears to be Tehillim were handed out in areas of Tel Aviv in the latest effort by missionaries in Israel to get their message out to the public.
When some Tel Avivians opened their Tehillim they were alarmed to realize it was missionary material. Yad L’Achim began receiving reports and activists were sent to Tel Aviv to probe the matter. After examining the contents of the “tehillim” it was learned to be Christian missionary material.
The cover of the pocket size book said “Tehillim” in Hebrew, with the pasuk
“טעמו וראו כי טוב ה’, אשרי הגבר יחסה בו” on the cover too. However the text of the document is clear, sending a message to believe in Yeshu.
Yad L’Achim volunteers worked to collect as many of the book as possible and issued a call to the tzibur to rid themselves of the books and to keep them away from children.
Yad L’Achim officials explain missionaries will spare no expense or effort to get their message out around Israel.
