The following video shows line workers in the Zoglovek deli company in Shlomi in northern Israel. The video starts by pointing out one of the problems encountered by workers, the feet of chickens become entangled in the webbing of the cage – compelling them to tear the bird away to extricate it.
The video then focuses on employees who wish to take out their frustrations on the chickens, as is evident seeing how the birds are slammed to the ground. It is pointed out that for some chickens, prior to heading for shechita they are subjected to the abuse of some line workers.
One worker uses a chicken as a ball while a second throws a live chicken into the receptacle intended for dead chickens. The video then shows workers in an argument, using the live chickens to throw at one another.
The widespread abuse in the factory was brought to the public in a special investigative piece released by Channel 10 News at the end of October 2013.
After the release of the report Zoglovek CEO Pinny Kamri promised the required corrective measures would be implemented forthwith. Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau Shlita summoned the company’s directors, including Kamri.
The Chief Rabbinate of Israel discussed yanking the major deli provider’s hashgacha due to documented widespread abuse that may have also compromised the level of shechita in some cases. Ultimately Rav Lau decided to permit Zoglovek to keep its hashgacha.
One of the changes implemented was the placement of an opaque wall that blocked anyone from seeing what was taking place inside. However, this did not stop an anonymous employee from videoing from within and the latest video shows that it appears nothing has changed.

Horrible!
I would think kashrus would be an issue here if the animals are maimed.
An abusive factory should not be allowed to keep its hashgacha. As Jews we should be compassionate to all living creatures.

Before we shecht the people away, let’s ask remembered that these videos are produced by people who are r’shoyim of the BIGGEST caliber. These are bhaimas that want do away with shchita first and do away with eating animals altogether.
I refuse to watch this trashy video however most of them are just repeats of the same thing, all made to look worse and worse.
The Mashgiach should have stepped up long ago and done something about this. That is why we have Kosher inspectors. Too often Kosher inspectors do not do their job due to money or being inept.
