Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has appealed his latest criminal conviction to the Israel Supreme Court. Olmert was sentenced to eight months imprisonment following his conviction in the Talansky cash envelopes case.
The appeal was filed on Thursday, 15 Tammuz by Olmert’s legal team following his sentencing in May 2015. In the petition filed by attorneys Eli Zohar and Eyal Rosovsky, they contend the court erred in its interpretation regarding the use of money received from Talansky during the tenure of Uri Messer.
