Jerusalem veterinary service inspectors apprehended 15,000 illegal eggs before they hit the local market. The inspectors were working with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The report states the source of the eggs is not known. They were confiscated and destroyed. The person taken into custody has been apprehended for the same offense twice in the past and is clearly undeterred.
Inspectors urge stores not to buy eggs from unauthorized sources, adding one million unauthorized eggs have already been destroyed before reaching the market.

What’s an illegal egg. Guess they mean it wasn’t taxed
not from a known,licensed Israeli source-many are from arab farms which aren’t inspected or dated for freshness,etc.Samonella and other infectious disease outbreaks have been linked to eggs like this.Imagine the temperature in that unrefrigerated truck in the Israeli summer!
