Israel Police Chief Yochanan Danino parted from the force in an official event held on Tuesday, 13 Tammuz. The post is being filled beginning on 14 Tammuz by Tel Aviv Chief Bentzi Sau pending a decision from Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan.
The event was held in the Israel Police College in Beit Shemesh, bidding farewell to Danino, the 17th chief of the department. The retirement brings an end to his 37 years in uniform, which includes 33 in Israel Police and 4 years in the IDF. He served as chief of the department for the past department and four years.
