Police on Wednesday morning 7 Tammuz arrested ten suspects of the Israeli Druse community in Majdal Shams, in northern Israel. The suspected are believed to have taken part in the violent attack earlier this week against an IDF ambulance which was transporting critically wounded Syrians to an Israeli hospital.
The attack was met with harsh responses from state officials, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who stated those responsible would be brought to justice.
It is reported that an IDF soldier, a member of the Druse community, who is believed to have passed information to the attackers about the ambulance and the patients was also taken into custody. Leaders of the Druse community have publicly condemned the attack.
A gag order has been issued on details of the ongoing investigation.
