Rabbonim, cabinet ministers and public officials were in attendance for the ceremony to dedicate the completed first stage of renovations at Kever Rochel. The event was highlighted by a hachnasas Sefer Torah for an ancient Sefer Torah that was added to the Aron Kodesh.
The Aron Kodesh is reportedly an exact climate controlled environment to protect the Sifrei Torah from damage related to ambient temperature and weather conditions.
Among those taking part in the event were Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita, Minister of Religious Services David Azoulai, Rav of the Kosel and Holy Sites Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita, senior IDF officers and philanthropists who are among those funding the major project.
