Gerrer Chassidim on Tuesday night, the eve of 7 Tammuz, will not visit the tziyun of the “Lev Simcha” on his yahrzeit due to the difficult security situation on Har HaZeisim.
A notice was published in the Agudas Yisrael-affiliated Hamodia Newspaper informing chassidim that this year there will not be an organized visit to the kever. The notice reads “In light of the tense security situation and after consulting with relevant authorities, this year there will not be an aliyah to the tziyun which is located on Har HaZeisim”.
It is also pointed out that the Gerrer Tziyun was recently targeted in one of the many Arab vandalism attacks against kevarim.
