The call for an ambulance was received on Tuesday morning, 6 Tammuz a few minutes after 07:00 for a struck pedestrian on Frank Street in Jerusalem’s Bayit Vegan neighborhood. A well-known 40-year-old dayan was injured as he crossed the street, jaywalking and not at an authorized crosswalk. The name of the dayan is not being released at the time of this report.
The driver that struck the rav is an 80-year-old chareidi man, who pulled over immediately and met with police on the scene. He reportedly collapsed after halting his vehicle and realizing what had occurred.
Police report the injured rav was transported by Magen David Adom to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. He was listed in moderate condition with a head injury.

2)the 80 year old man was shaken up but did not collapse. I know this from him personally.
