An Arab man armed with a knife was restrained and taken into custody at the Shivtei Yisrael station of the Jerusalem light rail on Sunday afternoon, 4 Tammuz. The incident occurred a few hours after a stabbing attack at Shar Shechem in Jerusalem that left a border policeman in critical condition.

It is unclear if the man at the light rail station attempted to injure anyone or was just wrestled to the ground after he was detected carrying a knife. B’chasdei Hashem there are no reports of injuries in this incident, which may have prevented another attack.
