Border Police Commander Deputy Chief Amos Yaakov arrived at Shaare Zedek Medical Center to inquire as to the condition of the wounded policeman, Roz ben Carmela, who was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack at Shar Shechem earlier Sunday, 4 Tammuz.
The hospital’s chief of trauma, Dr. Ofir Marin, provided an update and reports a “slight improvement” in the officer’s condition, who sustained stab wounds to his neck, chest and heart.
Yaakov praised the officer’s quick response, firing at the attacker before collapsing into cardiac arrest. The terrorist, a resident of the PA (Palestinian Authority), remains in serious condition in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
