17:40: MDA EMT III Aviad Hertz explains “When I arrived on the scene, I saw a 25-year-old man on the ground outside of his vehicle. He was in cardiac arrest and wounded by gunfire in his upper body. A second person, also 25, was also wounded by gunfire, alert and in less serious condition. CPR and other lifesaving treatment was immediately begun”.

17:36: Authorities now believe the two apparently went to toivel in a spring in the area. As they were heading back on the road, the terrorist approached them and spoke with them. He then pulled a handgun and fired at least five shots at point blank range, then fleeing the scene.

17:32: The critically wounded shooting victim has been pronounced dead of his injuries. Some are now calling this a “shooting terror attack” but officially it remains a “shooting incident” since too many facts are unverified at this time.

17:22: MDA Spokesman Zaki Heller now states the first victim, a male, 25, was wounded in his upper torso and in cardiac arrest. He is in critical condition, transferred by a chopper to Tel Hashomer. The second victim, 25 also, is in light-to-moderate condition, conscious and alert. His condition is stable.

17:15: Police and the IDF fear a sniper may be in the area of the Dolev shooting. A search is underway. There is still no verification as to the events that occurred. It is uncertain if the victims were in a vehicle or hiking when hit by gunfire.

17:06: It is now reported the victims are residents of Lod who were hiking in the area. They are in the process of being transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv.

17:03: It now appears the shooting near Dolev was a shooting attack. Two civilians in their 20s were injured. One was in traumatic cardiac arrest when EMTs and paramedics arrived. The second is in moderate condition. The seriously wounded victim is being transported to a trauma center by IDF chopper. The second victim appears to be heading to a hospital via ambulance.

16:40 IL: There was a shooting incident in Shomron a short time ago, near Yishuv Dolev. Initially there were reports of a shooting terror attack but it now appears that there were Arabs involved in clashes with IDF soldiers and one Arab was seriously wounded by gunfire. There do not appear to be injuries to IDF personnel. It remains unclear if this was an act of terrorism or clashes with the IDF. It is confirmed that one person on the scene is in critical condition from gunfire.

Information from the scene is somewhat conflicting. Additional details to follow as confirmed data is received.

16:52: Ichud Hatzalah reports that there are two people injured near Dolev, which is located in the Binyamin Regional Council in Shomron. One of the wounded is in critical condition. An IDF chopper is enroute for transport. It still remains unclear if the shooting incident was a terror attack.

16:54: Magen David Adom spokesman Zaki Heller reports a call of a shooting incident was received at 16:15. The gunfire was directed at a vehicle near Parsa Junction in the area of Dolev. Paramedics and EMTs are treating two victims in their 20s, one in serious condition and the second in light condition.
