Following protests from the Ethiopian Israeli community, Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has decided to accept the recommendation of the Justice Ministry’s Police Investigations Unit and he is closing the case against the policemen who beat IDF soldier Damas Pakada, 19.
Officials explain that after studying the video frame-by-frame, one sees the soldier pushes the policeman and therefore, police were compelled to use force against him. Investigators feel the matter demands disciplinary action against the policeman involved, citing this is not a criminal matter.
Israel Police officials’ add the policeman was dismissed from the force. It is pointed out that Police Chief Yochanan Danino announced the policeman would be brought to justice but the investigators do not share this view and the attorney general is not going to move ahead with criminal charges against the policeman.

The Ethiopian soldier should be charged, now that it’s been determined that he disobeyed a police officer’s instructions, assaulted the police officer and resisted arrest. All after the police officer determined there was a security threat in the area and it needed to be cleared.
And all the Ethiopian rioters should be arrested and charged with rioting.
Which frame did he see the soldier pushing the officer? Not here!!! This video clip doesn’t show that!
#2: The video clip shown only captured a small part of the encounter.
#1- What do you have against Ethiopians? Did they do something to you? This clip does NOT show him disobeying or assaulting the officer. Maybe resisting arrest, but there was no reason to arrest him.
