In his address to the 15th annual Herzliya Conference, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon explained he is not optimistic regarding a peace agreement between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority). He went as far as to say that based on his experience he does not believe an agreement will be achieved in his lifetime.

The senior minister spoke about ongoing and increasing efforts to delegitimize Israel today, referring to these efforts as the most used tool against Israel.

Ya’alon spoke on unrelenting and ongoing Iranian efforts that include backing Hizbullah and Hamas in Gaza in Tehran’s war against Israel. He explained that as ISIS confront Hamas in Gaza, terrorists are firing rockets into Israel and Israel is not becoming involved in the conflict between ISIS and Hamas.
